The $36 million St. Cloud police headquarters opened a month ago but we missed the public tour. LaVona's clout with law enforcement go us a private tour today. Here she performs her special time/space illusion with historical graphics in the lobby.

My first visit to Lake George in over a week. While I was in the Everglades, the city plowed half of the lake for skaters. Only this fellow showed up this afternoon. He said today was his first time on ice skates since he was 13 more than 10 years ago. His body remembered well.

In the waning years of WW II, we were living in Rockville Center, Long Island, I was about 12 and dad was dying of a brain tumor. Mom said NYC was no place for a widow to bring up a child, so she packed us up and we took a train to her childhood home in Detroit Lakes Minnesota. That's where she met and married this widower. He was a clothing salesman and outdoorsman.
